Gregg Rossetti (ASCAP) (b. 1982) has composed several pieces for orchestra, wind ensemble, mixed chamber groups of varying instrumentation, electronic soundscapes, and progressive studio-based rock music. He also producers music for video games, multimedia, and other commercial projects. His accomplishments include performances of his concert music in venues across the U.S. and Canada, several commercially-released albums, as well as hours of music for web-comics and films. His current projects include composing for some upcoming video games.
In academia, he is lecturer and music technology coordinator at Rutgers University and an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, teaching classes in popular music, music theory, music technology, general music, and composition. In addition, he also keeps a studio of private students in NJ. After receiving his B.A. in Music Theory/Composition from Muhlenberg College in 2005 and his M.A. in Music Composition from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University in 2007, he worked full-time in the music industry as a recording engineer and producer. He finished his PhD in composition at Rutgers University, where his dissertation explored how musical tropes build worlds in early role-playing video games.
In addition to some smaller games, is currently composer for PhanxGames, Neurodivergent Studios, and Wellbucket Games.
He has studied composition with the diverse talents of Dr. Douglas Ovens, Dean Drummond, Dr. Robert Livingston Aldridge, Dr. Gerald Chenoweth, and Charles Fussell.
